Shakespeare workshops

On Thursday, KS2 classes took part in a Shakespeare workshop.

It started with hearing all about the life and importance of William Shakespeare. We were then introduced to the play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.  We were transported into the story, through becoming each character and having actions to support our understanding. We ended the workshop with a scene between Queen Titania and King Oberon that used movement, levels and choral speaking.

The children very much enjoyed this workshop and it was a fantastic introduction to one of the greatest playwrights.
