The summer holidays may be fast approaching but learning in Year 3 has certainly not slowed down! Despite the Key Stage 2 production not going ahead as first thought, the children have continued to work tremendously hard on their class dances. As well as this, the children have enjoyed making and decorating their costumes to ensure they are performance ready. It has been great to showcase the talents and skills of each class.
India has continued to inspire and fascinate the children across a range of subjects. In geography, the children have been using their knowledge acquired over the course of the term to think about the similarities and differences between India and the UK.
‘Cinnamon’ by Neil Gaiman has been an engaging story to develop writing skills in English. As well as this, the children have created haiku and Kenning poems based in India. Using the bright and colourful work by artist Surabhi Gaikwad Uzgare, the children have created their own wonderful dreamscapes including plants and flowers finished off by a silhouette of themselves. The children have also enjoyed learning about light sources in science, as well as investigating shadows and why they change size throughout the day.
