Unexpected Gifts: Preparing Our Hearts for Christmas
Keren, from Insight, led one of our worships this week and helping us begin to reflect on Advent and the approaching Christmas season.
She introduced us to a surprising "gift"—an apparently empty present bag. Imagine how disappointed we would feel if we received an empty gift on Christmas Day! But this was no ordinary bag. In a magical moment, Keren began pulling out several gifts from what seemed like an empty space, reminding us that God also loves to surprise us with gifts, often in unique and exciting ways.
With the help of six children, Keren guided us in learning about three important babies in the Bible, including John, whom we heard about last week in our Open the Book worship. Most importantly, she talked about Jesus, the greatest gift of all, whose name means 'rescuer.'
