Keepy-Uppy Challenge

The children were very excited this week as they all have taken part in a marble ‘keepy-uppy’ challenge.

The brief was relatively straight-forward in that the children were tasked with designing and creating a device no higher than 1m tall which keeps a solid glass marble in continuous motion for the longest time possible before it reaches the floor. The devices were also judged on elegance and the innovation of the design as well as compactness of the structure. As you can see from the pictures, the children did a fantastic job and created brilliant and creative devices. Many key skills were developed during the science-themed day, with lots of fun had too!
