Hooke Court '18
Below are the daily blogs of the trip:
Wednesday 7 November
The children and staff left St Luke's this morning for the start of their residential trip to Hooke Court in Dorset. All the children were very excited to get away, looking forward to the many activities they will be experiencing at the centre.
Thursday 8 November
The children had lots of fun yesterday in the evening activity which was team building exercises. It must have worn them out as they were all quiet and in bed by 9.30pm. All the children (and teachers) had a restful sleep!
Year 4 were up bright and early this morning and are looking forward for today's Viking activities. It has stopped raining but there is some expected today... Before that it is breakfast and room inspections!
Friday 9 November
A lot of fun was had yesterday with all the exciting Viking activities that the children experienced. They made jewellery and completed some weaving, which they report was a rather smelly job. They also did some Viking cooking and tasted their creations. Finally, they carved their names using the Viking language.
In the evening, the children took part in a campfire with lots of stories being retold. The children all fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow! The children look forward to rocket building today and then travelling back home.
