Friday 19 July
How can one class squeeze so much into one term? We will never know. Since the end of the Easter holidays we have managed to squeeze in Bikeability, Golden skipping, Pupil Parliament elections, Outdoor learning week, Arts week and exhibition, Tudor Day, Sports Day, alongside trips to Hampton Court, Turner’s House and the Orleans Gallery, ‘The Tempest’ at the Orange Tree Theatre and the Stanley Picker Gallery.
We also should not overlook the Key Stage 2 production, in which the children in Year 5 danced and sang their hearts out. This time next year it will be their turn to take centre stage. What a way to end the school year, the children really showed themselves in their best light and it highlighted how far they have come this year in so many ways.
After such an event filled summer term the children deserve a good rest over the summer holidays, fingers crossed that the warm weather lasts and good luck in Year 6.
