The children and staff left St Luke's this morning for the start of their residential trip to Hindleap Warren. All the children were very keen to get away, looking forward to the many activities they will be experiencing at HLW.

The children arrived safely (via Hindhead!) and impressed everyone by making their beds with very little help from staff.

The children had a really good afternoon with some orienteering and map work followed by a night walk in the evening which was made more interesting with the amount of rain they experienced. Whatever the weather, Year 5 are in high spirits! The children were all worn out and were asleep by 9.30pm. They are looking forward to the many activities they will have tomorrow.

The children enjoyed a full English breakfast this morning having had a good night's rest.

Year 5 have 'Forest Adventure' this morning and will be getting very muddy as there has been lots of rain. 

In the afternoon, the class splits up into groups to tackle a range of activities including shelter building, climbing wall and outdoor archery. After dinner, the children will have an evening swim in the pool.

Year 5 had a really good sleep last night and had to be woken up this morning - they must be tired! After a good breakfast the children went off to enjoy their activities, which today include pool canoe, zip wire and high vines. They are also looking forward to tonight's talent show.

The Talent Show last night was another brilliant evening of entertainment, with all children and staff enjoying the various acts. The children have been wonderful company and staff have commented that they have been the best group of children at sleeping and waking up!

Today the children are continuing with several activities in their groups (including the abseiling, high wire, pool canoe and other challenges) before undertaking the greatest challenge of the week – packing their suitcases tonight! It will be an early night tonight, ready to return tomorrow morning. Arrival time is estimated at 11.00am.

The children had an excellent final sleep last night at Hindleap after packing their suitcases. Parents beware that there are some clothes being returned that are rather more muddier than parents might remember! After breakfast, the children will be saying their their sad farewells to Hindleap Warren and began their journey back to school.
