The summer term has certainly been one to remember for year 3. To enhance their understanding of their plants and flowers topic in science, they had the opportunity to visit Kew Gardens and explore the different areas. They learned about methods of seed dispersal and looked at different flowers under microscopes, walked around the temperate house and even got to play in the magnificent children’s play area!
On Number Day, the children embraced their love of numbers by taking part in a special workshop where they had to work together in groups to solve several different puzzles and challenges.
Sports Day was a big highlight for year 3 this term. Amongst the events they competed in were long jump, high jump, tug of war, races and javelin. They did a fantastic job of being competitive yet supportive of each other.
There has been a huge focus on the key stage 2 production this term and it paid off! The children’s performance as guards in ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ was spectacular and they should be very proud of themselves.
We would like to thank all the parents for their support this year. We hope you have a wonderful summer!
