It won’t be long until Year 3 are completing their very last day of the academic year and although we will be sad to see them go, we hope they will enjoy a much-needed break ahead of starting year 4 in September. The children have been interested to learn about fair trade and the importance of making sure farmers are paid fairly for their work. They researched how to contribute to fair trade and started to write a balanced argument on their opinions on the need for fair trade.
In art, the children finished their silhouette dreamscapes inspired by Indian artist, Surabhi Gaikwad. The finished pieces look absolutely amazing and the vibrant, colourful backgrounds really stand out against the black silhouettes.
Year 3 are getting more and more excited to perform in the key stage 2 production of Bugsy Malone where they are playing the ‘down and outs’. They have worked impressively hard to learn all the songs, actions and of course their own dance routine. They can’t wait to show everyone their talents next week!
The whole of key stage 2 were lucky enough to visit the Rose Theatre on Friday to see the musical ‘Wild’ – what a way to finish the week!
