Throughout the week in English, we have been looking at the features of a blog and have begun to plan one about our topic ‘London to Lima’. We included writing techniques such as; alliteration and fronted adverbials to entertain our audience.
We have continued with our shape topic in maths, we have drawn polygons, identified types of angles. We have focused on identifying acute and right angles. As well as this, we have looked at properties of shape.
A highlight of the week for the children was our science lesson. We have looked at how we see things and used a torch to communicate Morse Code to our group. We had to decipher the meaning of our messages and recall the message orally.
In RE, we have looked at the festival Kumba Mela and why it is important for Hindus. One of the most important pilgrimages in Hinduism is Kumbh Mela. This is the largest gathering of people in the world. Millions of people attend and bathe in the Ganges.
This week to celebrate Sports Week, the children have researched the Moroccan surfer Ramzi Boukhiam.
