Blog for Friday 28th March 2025
Last week in nursery, we wrapped up our exciting theme of bears. The children loved listening to various bear themed stories and discovering fun facts about these wonderful creatures. To celebrate all of their hard work and learning, we hosted a special teddy bear’s picnic in the sunshine in our garden. The children had a great time sharing snacks with their furry friends, making it a memorable end to our bear learning!
This week our focus shifted to Easter. Yesterday we visited St. Luke’s Church, where we met Father Martin. He retold the Easter story with help from the stained glass windows. The children were fascinated as Father Martin explained how the windows tell the story of Easter, with beautiful images of Jesus sharing a meal with his disciples and rising again. We then explored different areas of the church and the children observed crosses, baby Jesus and the bible!
In phonics, we continued learning new sounds, focusing on 'u' and 'r'. Next week, we will be on the lookout for words that start with the 'h' sound.
We hope you all enjoy the Mother’s Day cards that the children lovingly created and wishing you all a relaxing Mothering Sunday!
