Daily Skip
This term we are introducing a new daily exercise activity for children in Years 3 to 6.
In the afternoons, each junior class will be spending ten minutes outside completing a skipping workout as part of our ‘daily skip’ initiative. The aim is for children to spend more time being active to make them fitter, healthier and more able to concentrate when in the classroom. Skipping helps to improve our heart rate and blood pressure and it's a good workout for all fitness levels as you can do it at your own pace. The initiative was introduced to the children this week beginning with a breath-taking skipping demonstration by seven times British National Skipping Champion and ex-pupil Sam Cross on Wednesday. If you (or your child) would like to do more skipping, ropes are available to purchase through the school office.
