KS2 Author Visit
Key Stage 2 classes welcomed comedian, author and illustrator Olaf Falafel into school this week to share his experiences of producing books for children.
In an engaging afternoon, the children were taken on a story-writing journey, from his initial inspiration and tools used to capture ideas, through to final outcomes and publication. Olaf read his story 'One Giant Leek for Mankind' that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Mission and the children all got the chance to be illustrators themselves, drawing their own interpretations of a moon baboon!
A big thank you to Mrs McGilvray for establishing the link, and for organising what was a highly successful and fun session.
