Thank you Mrs Ayris
Our Chair of Governors, Mrs Janet Ayris, will sadly be stepping down from the Governing Body of St Luke’s C.E. Primary School at the end of this term.
Janet became a governor at the school in 2003 and has served as our Chair of Governors for the past four years. At the Full Governing Body meeting on Wednesday evening, the governors expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the tremendous job that Janet has done for the school. She has made a positive impact at the school during her tenure and has dedicated many hours towards monitoring and the continuous improvement of the day to day teaching and learning, sound business management and the wellbeing of children and staff of our school.
For many years, Janet accompanied the Year 5 class on the residential trip to Hindleap Warren and helped look after the children (and staff!) superbly. We are all very grateful Janet, thank you. We wish Janet all the best for the future, knowing that she will remain a friend of St Luke’s.
On the same evening, the governing body appointed Ms Maria Netley and Ms Liz Ormonde as acting Chair and Vice Chair of the Governors respectively. The Chair’s position will be confirmed at the next Full Governing Body Meeting in January.
