High expectations, by all, for all, reflecting the example of Jesus

Odd Socks Day: Small Acts, Big Impact

On Monday, we celebrated Odd Socks Day, reflecting on what makes us unique and why it’s important to respect our differences.

In worship, we discussed the qualities of a good friend and agreed kindness is essential. We shared a story about a baseball fan who gave a ball to a young girl, showing how small acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day. We also reflected on the Bible story where friends lowered a man through a roof to see Jesus, whose kindness changed his life.

Finally, we thought about how we can show kindness to others today. What will you do?
